This Camphor Laurel bench was custom-commissioned to perfectly complement an existing live-edge dining table. Handcrafted in Canberra, the piece features a thick slab of Camphor Laurel, specifically chosen for its incredibly rich and figured grain.

To ensure a seamless match with the client's current furniture, I mirrored the industrial aesthetic by utilising heavy-duty black metal X-frame legs. The natural, flowing live edges of the timber were carefully preserved and finished with a durable hard coat, highlighting the organic beauty of the wood while providing a functional seating solution for an entryway or dining space.
