Everything you need to know before starting your commission

  • Most builds take 4 to 8 weeks from deposit to delivery, depending on the piece size, timber availability, and current workshop queue. Complex dining tables may take up to 10 weeks. I'll give you a realistic timeline during your consultation.

  • Pricing depends on timber type, slab size, design complexity, and finish. Indicative starting prices are listed above: coffee tables from $2,500, entrance tables from $1,400, dining tables from $4,800. You'll receive a fixed, itemised quote before any work begins. No surprise costs.

  • A 90% deposit secures your build slot and covers timber and material sourcing. The remaining 10% is due on delivery, once you see your finished piece in person. Bank transfer and card payments are accepted.

  • Absolutely. I keep a stock of salvaged slabs and can send you photos and dimensions of available options. If you have a specific timber type or look in mind, I'll source it. Or you're welcome to supply your own slab if it meets quality standards.

  • Yes. I deliver across the ACT and NSW locally, and arrange freight Australia-wide for larger pieces. Delivery costs are quoted upfront based on your location and piece dimensions. No hidden freight fees.

  • A percentage of every commission goes directly to men's mental health charities. This isn't a tagline. As a teenager I lost my dad to suicide and that experience is the reason Burl & Griffin exists. You can learn more on my Purpose page.
